Disability Nursing Care

Nursing Care provides fully trained, registered nurses who can provide complex quality care in-home, or in assisted living facilities.

Our Nursing Care service means a well-qualified, dedicated nurse who knows your unique personal situation and is with you every step of the way.

No matter the age, whether it’s treating a general or specific illness, managing a disability, recovering from surgery or a recent operation, adjusting to a chronic illness or dealing with an unexpected medical diagnosis, or bringing in a skilled professional who can provide end-of-life palliative care, we have an experienced and friendly team of nurses to meet your unique requirements.

Our registered nurses can work on cases of short-term recovery or help manage more serious and complex long-term situations, such as severe disability or terminal illness. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Common nursing services include:

  • Bedside care and assistance
  • Addressing physical complaints
  • Feeding
  • Medication
  • Pain management
  • Continence management
  • Postpartum support
  • Wound management
  • IV therapy
  • Ostomy care
  • Blood clots
  • Skin infections
  • Monitoring of vitals
  • Supervising the recovery progress
  • Chronic disease management
  • Emotional support and general well-being

For many, the best place to recover and receive treatment is outside of a hospital and in the comfort and privacy of a home environment. Having a regular nurse who knows the precise needs of the patient while providing treatment in a familiar environment can make a significant difference. Travelling less for medical attention means greater comfort and less risk of problems associated with hospitalisation.

Nursing Care is a higher level of care than our Personal Care and Companion Care services, whereby our registered nurses are specially trained and equipped to deal with everything from basic care duties to complex medical issues, ensuring individuals receive the best possible standard of care.

Because nurses are trained to deal with more complex medical issues, they will tend to work alongside other carers, family members, volunteers, and support professionals to deliver the most cost-effective solution. For cases involving less complex medical needs, we recommend looking at our Personal Care and Companion Care services.
