Disability Personal Care

Personal Care provides a qualified and compassionate professional who can help with a wide range of in-home care activities, from everyday tasks such as grocery shopping to more complex care such as help with bathing and toileting.

Every situation is unique. Personal care is personal and means getting to know the individual’s personality, goals, needs, preferences, routines, physical condition, environment, and home situation.

To help gain a clearer understanding of the types of services available, a few of the most common areas of Personal Care can include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Toileting & continence assistance
  • Showering/bathing
  • Meal preparation & feeding
  • Grooming & personal hygiene
  • Assistance getting into/out of bed
  • Dressing/undressing
  • Medication reminders
  • Personal organisation
  • Daily errands (grocery shopping, banking,
    appointments)
  • Bill payment & account management
  • Light household duties & general cleaning

While it’s nice to have someone around to help with day-to-day tasks, personal caring is more than regular assistance with routine household duties. Importantly, personal carers can be there to provide companionship and emotional support. Our carers are respectful, compassionate, friendly, and great listeners. We ensure you or your loved one is well looked after while being able to maintain an independent lifestyle in the comfort of their own home.

Our personal carers can be there for short periods during mornings, afternoons, or evenings, or throughout the entire duration of the day — whenever needed. We can help you determine how much or how little support is required.
